Teddies Around Town: A New Addition To The Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite Fundraiser

As you may know, the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite Fundraiser is in full swing. Our doors might not be opening until Thursday, December 6th, but we’ve been busy little bears, already raising more than $14,000 on Giving Tuesday for the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club’s After School program, Healthy Happy Kids, which serves food to 32% of the Island’s Kindergarten thru eighth-grade children, that’s one in three children.

This year’s goal for the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite Fundraiser is $45,000. So, as you can tell, we have a long way to go. With the Teddy Bear Suite, our Holiday Raffle, and the Teddy Bear Trot, we’re working hard with your help toward that BIG goal.

Teddies Around Town

To help raise money and have more fun with our bear family, we are happy to introduce Teddies Around Town. Starting the week of Christmas in Edgartown, be on the lookout for 20 of our bear family members in Edgartown Businesses.

These businesses will have a bear to decorate or create a vignette of their choice. People can be as creative as they like! Imagine bears in sunglasses, pouring coffee, etc. Businesses will also receive a special #mvteddybearsuite Instagram frame.

Why the frame? Well, we want you to have fun with this, the bears to have fun, and of course the businesses too!

So, with Teddies Around Town, we are hosting a festive, fun competition. The businesses with the most creative display and the most money raised will win a prize, and the top three photos from participants will also win prizes. 

How will you find these adventure loving bears who are on vacation from the Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite? There will be a Teddies Around Town Map provided on mvteddybearsuite.com, Point B Realty’s Facebook Page, and many other social media outlets.

A number of Edgartown businesses have already sponsored bears for Teddies Around Town, including Hob Knob Inn, Rosewater Market & Takeaway, Chappy Happy, Salte, Rockland Trust (downtown), the Clarion, Sea Spa Salon, Boneyard, Divine MV, Past & Presents, Morning Glory Farm, Edgartown Meat & Fish, Wheel Happy Bikes, Martha’s Vineyard Real Estate, Backwater Trading Company, and The Christina Gallery. Teddies Around Town Schedule

We hope you will visit the eighth Annual Martha’s Vineyard Teddy Bear Suite in its new home, 17 Winter Street, Nevin Square in downtown Edgartown, and support this worthy cause.
